The Electric Theater opened in May of 1907, and is considered to be the first bona fide motion picture theater in Salt Lake City. The theater was located in the Brooks Arcade Building on the west side of State Street near 3rd South. The Electric Theater opened approximately three or four days before Max Florence's "Red Theatorium", and was ran by Trent and Wilson. |
