The Elite Theater located on the west side of State Street between 3rd and 4th South, opened on October 12, 1907. The theater boasted about their new building, having a seating capacity of 600 with a fire proof projection room constructed entirely of sheet iron and lined with asbetos. The theater was owned and controlled by the Elite Theater Company, and run by Max Florence, who is considered one of the pioneers of the motion picture business in the west. |
