The Mehesy Theater was located on the northwest corner of Main Street and 3rd South, and opened in the fall of 1911.

The theater was open for several years as the Mehesy, but in January of 1918 the owner Edward Mehesy renamed his theater 'The Rialto'.

After the Mehesy Theatre closed, the former manager moved to Pasadena, California and opened up another theater in the basement of an apartment building that he was managing.
